Summarize Mission
As an established 501(c)(3) organization, SAV’s mission is to support Veteran’s medical, rehabilitation and cognitive therapies represented in the population of VA overflow, volume unexpected from the current military involvement; a “Bridge to Care” so-to-speak for the VA and other Veteran advocacy groups. The unexpected overburdening of available government resources due to unpredicted rises in injuries, rehab or mental health, leads to financial strain in an already precarious economy. Our mission supports the VA by providing ease of access to immediate full spectrum services close to the Veteran’s home while intending to maintain a mainline connection to the expert medical team of the Veterans Administration.
SAV represents a model which reduces VA and government costs while improving veteran health outcomes and optimism through coordination of expedited or enhanced medical pathways to care for our service members. Current backlogs for diagnosis, examination and treatment contradict our commitment to these men and women. SAV partners with leading health care networks which branch throughout metropolitan Chicago and outlying areas to ensure high standards of care are secured, focusing on the health and satisfaction of the Illinois hero.
In summary: Our ultimate mission: to strengthen America by providing medical care essential to support the Veteran’s family structure, restore purposeful, productive individuals post military trauma of any nature to minimize future homelessness from past, current and upcoming conflicts.
Descriptions of the populations SAV serves
Our target population is Veterans of the OIE/OEE conflicts. Our application process finds those in need of immediate diagnostic services and therapeutic care for their in-service injuries, both for physical and emotional conditions. We also recognize the continuing needs of Veterans from the Gulf War and other conflicts, including the Korean and Viet Nam Wars. Moreover, the families of these heroes are often in need of help, and we provide resources for care to their immediate support structure. Our network of civilian care centers throughout northeastern Illinois stand uniquely able to expedite the administration of critical services.
Our goal is to set the Veteran into a treatment schedule as advised by the VA. However, should the VA be unable to administer such services, SAV shall arrange for the delivery of all needed care to re-integrate the individual to their families and employment as soon as possible.
